Psychiatric Evaluation
We begin with a comprehensive 90-minute psychiatric evaluation, which will allow us to meet and understand what you are looking for in seeking mental health care. We will thoroughly review your psychiatric and medical history, and I may consult with other mental health professionals you work with if applicable. I will approach each evaluation through a whole-person lens with curiosity and compassion, and take time to understand your background, early experiences, relationships, academic or career demands, current stressors, values, and goals. We will use this time to also evaluate if this is the right path to pursue and if so, work together to develop a personalized treatment plan and begin our work together. Occasionally, more than one session is recommended.
Couples Therapy
In-person or Virtual; 60 minutes
Initial couples consultations follow a similar time structure as psychiatric evaluation of 90 minutes, sometimes requiring 2-3 sessions for consultation. It may be done in combination with other treatments like individual psychotherapy or medication management, where I will collaborate with referring providers as appropriate, or pursued independently.
Relationships often bring our deepest needs, vulnerabilities, and hopes into focus, and meaningful ones require ongoing attention, understanding, and care. Couples therapy can help partners strengthen communication, navigate conflict more effectively, and cultivate more satisfying connection, whether they are working through significant challenges or seeking to enhance an already strong foundation.
In our work together, we explore patterns that shape your connection, including integrating your individual background and family/attachment structure, learn how to manage conflict, deepen your emotional and physical intimacy, and create a relationship that aligns with your shared values and goals in a safe, guided environment. I use Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy and the Gottman Method as framework and you will gain concrete tools and strategies to use and be coached in how to use them.
Couples often seek therapy for a wide array of reasons, including:
Communication issues
Emotional distance
Repairing trust after infidelity or betrayals
Feeling emotionally understood and validated
Resolving recurring conflicts productively
Problems with emotional and physical intimacy
Premarital/-commitment counseling as a proactive approach to establish healthy patterns and habits that promote life-long relationships.
I also offer Separation and Divorce Therapy, which occurs when one or both partners decide to end their relationship. This can be one of life’s most emotionally challenging transitions and therapy provides a supportive space to reflect on the relationship, process grief, uncertainty, anger, loss, while helping couples navigate practical decisions and move forward with greater clarity, closure, and resilience.
I work with couples and partners across a wide range of relationship structures. Meaningful, healthy relationships can take many forms and together, we explore the unique dynamics, strengths, and challenges of your relationship without imposing a one-size-fits-all model of partnership.

Pharmacotherapy/Medication Management
In-person or Virtual; 30 minutes
I work with my patients to develop a medication plan tailored for each patient’s unique needs and situation. I prescribe medications (following consideration of diagnosis, development, and dynamics) in order to enable you to function at your highest level. Medication can be a powerful tool for creating stability needed to move forward, whether lifting the weight day-to-day or creating steadiness needed to engage more meaningfully in therapy, work, and relationships. When thoughtfully used, they can restore motivation and help you reconnect with creativity, curiosity, and self-compassion.
I work closely and collaboratively with you to find what medication(s) work best for you, taking your medical history, goals, concerns and potential side effects into mind. Initial sessions or during periods of medication adjustments, appointments are scheduled weekly to closely monitor your progress. Once a stable medication regimen is established together, appointments typically transition to monthly. As we work together, we'll continually assess your progress and tailor treatment to your evolving needs. The goal is not only to reduce symptoms, but to help you feel more like yourself and build a lasting, stronger sense of clarity and confidence.
I often encourage individuals to explore therapy in addition to medications, if not already, as research shows medications combined with psychotherapy often creates better outcomes than either alone.
For individuals with existing relationship with a psychotherapist, I work collaboratively with an individual’s therapist to provide medication management services. I also frequently help with simplifying (“de-prescribing”) complex medication regimens.
Psychotherapy
In-person or Virtual; 45 minutes
I offer psychotherapy on its own or in conjunction with medication management. Psychotherapy is an open, collaborative, process built on regularly scheduled sessions during which time we slow down and explore what comes up. A commitment to a consistent schedule for a space of reflection is the most beneficial, whether you would like help navigating daily challenges and relationship conflicts or looking to optimize the way you feel and function in life.
Through our work together, you’ll gain more insight into your thoughts, reactions, and behaviors that underly recurring patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and begin to move towards responding to your world with more clarity and agency rather than repeating old cycles that no longer serve you. Along the way, we will explore how your past influences your present, manage strong emotions as they arise, strengthen your ability to connect and communicate with others, build more balanced, fulfilling relationships, and develop a stronger sense of self. I will support you with a space that feels safe to reflect and practice new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I have an expertise in a wide range of different psychotherapies, though I predominately operate psychodynamically, and utilize a combination of modalities to best suit your individual needs throughout different points of our work together. Our work will empower you to achieve your highest level of psychological, emotional, and mental well-being.
We will aim to uncover the source of emotional distress or unresolved needs and motives that you may or may not be aware of experiencing to find personal meaning and bring lasting change to your life.
As a psychiatrist/medical doctor, I will also keep in mind how the medications you take may be affecting you and have awareness of possible organic causes of your symptoms and seek further evaluation to address as needed.
Sessions generally have a regularly scheduled appointment weekly or twice-weekly, or more often as necessary. The more frequently we meet the more we are able to deeply address all the above.
